Create
a Free Camera
-
Assign
a Path Constraint to it (the same as we did to
the airplane).
-
Add
Path>Choose your spline.
-
Check
Follow.
-
Check
Constant Velocity.
-
Make
sure the camera is following the path in the right direction.
-
Change
the Perspective Viewport to Camera01 (click in the viewport and then press
C)
-
Scrub
through your animation. You will notice that at the moment, our camera is at
the same point on the path as our airplane. We want our airplane to be in
front of our Camera. An object's position along a path is controlled by
altering it's Percentage value.
-
Select
your airplane.
-
Make
sure the time slider is at frame 0.
-
In
the Motion Panel under Path
Parameters, increase the Percentage value until
you can see the airplane in the Camera01 Viewport. It is up to you how close
or far from the camera you have the plane.
-
You
may need to adjust the Lens on the camera to a more wide angle lens so that
you can see the buildings. Try 15mm and see what you think. (Select
Camera>Modify Panel>Stock Lenses).
-
You
can also try creating lights and animating them along the path to behave
like headlights.
-
When
your happy with the project, render your animation. You should have
something roughly like this:
